Dakin reaction

The Dakin reaction is the chemical reaction of phenolic aldehydes (or ketones) with hydrogen peroxide to form bisphenols and carboxylic acids. The reaction is named after Henry Drysdale Dakin.
The Dakin reaction should not be confused with the Dakin-West reaction.
