[edit] Shell Australia redirects here?
Why does Shell Australia redirect here. While most Shell service stations have a Coles Express, not all do - particually in regional Australia. Shouldn't Shell be a seperate article for this reason. I know of one Shell service station that has an IGA supermarket. --Whats new? 05:06, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Shell Australia shouldn't redirect here. Royal Dutch Shell conducts a large range of activities in Australia that have nothing to do with Coles Express, such as
- Exploration for, and the production and commercialisation of, oil and natural gas
- Operating two refineries, 19 terminals and 33 depots for the manufacture and distribution of oil products.
- Marketing lubricants, aviation products, marine oil products, bitumen and chemicals.
I believe that if a page for Shell Australia is deemed necessary - and that is a moot point, given that essentially it is not a separate entity to Royal Dutch Shell - then it could briefly cover some of the activities mentioned above, and point readers to Royal Dutch Shell, or in the case of (most) retail service stations, to Coles Express Murtoa 06:37, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Am now changing the Shell Australia redirect into a small entry which directs to either Royal Dutch Shell or Coles Express. Murtoa 12:32, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Coles Express brand
The Coles Express brand is currently Image:Coles-express-brand.png because it is the brand used at sites and within the business. (Deleted image that contained the red Coles ball) is only a proposed brand and is not used at any site nor within the business, and certainly has not been taken from the "official web-site". The Coles Group brand has changed, however no rebranding of CGL businesses will occur whilst their sale/takeover is underway, not to mention if the merging of Coles Group brands into the one Coles brand goes ahead after.
