Cole Harbour is a community of Halifax Regional Municipality northeast of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Taking its name from the natural harbour of the same name, Cole Harbour is one of the communities located adjacent to the eastern end of the city of Dartmouth; prior to municipal amalgamation and creation of the Halifax Regional Municipality, Cole Harbour was an unincorporated village within Halifax County.

One of Cole Harbour's major streets, Cole Harbour Road which is part of Route 207, goes through this district , linking to Portland Street in Dartmouth and linking Lawerencetown Road to the Eastern Shore . Also the Forest Hills Parkway connects to Main Street in Dartmouth and the Eastern Shore via Trunk 7 or Highway 107.

Cole Harbour expanded as a residential area following completion of Highway 111 and Highway 107 and widening of Cole Harbour Road during the 1970s-1980s.

There are several Metro Transit buses that travel from Cole Harbour to various other parts of Dartmouth and Halifax. Cole Harbour was dyked twice during the 1800's to provide land for farmers. Part of the second dyke, which was blown up in the early 1900's is now occupied by several residential homes and is part of Cow Bay road. At the mouth of the harbour Rainbow Haven Beach is located, between the beach and the dyke there is a man made lagoon. A railway ran across Cole Harbour and is now part of the trans Canada trail.

Cole Harbour had an agriculture industry until 1974, the year that most local farmers sold their land for suburban expansion; one of the largest developments being Clayton Developments "Colby Village" subdivision.
