[edit] Day Job

Software Programmer (aka Code Monkey) for a big European multinational company (planning world domination but don't tell anyone)

Qualified? - Does an Honours Degree in Computing count?

[edit] About Me

When I'm not 'tapping' people on the fields of BF2 or spending hard earned cash on Amazon or eBay, I enjoy gardening (it doesn't maintain itself you know), golfing (lots of fresh air :-) but my game is lousy at the best of times) and reading (mainly techno thrillers). Just starting to get into photography, after putting off getting a digital camera for ages. NI is a very photogenic country.

I enjoy air shows but there are only a couple held here each year, Portrush and Newtownards. Been to the Portrush show every year since it started. Super setting and best of all its FREE!!! The Red Arrows blitzing over Ramore Head is a sight to see. And although you end up choking on the exhaust fumes if you happen to be underneath the flight path its worth it. One of my many goals is to get to the airshow at Farnborough which is THE airshow, despite being held every 2 years.

Best sight of the web for plane enthusiasts: Airliners.net

Am a fan of sci-fi, especially Battlestar Galactica and Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis). Watch Star Trek when its on as well (TNG and DS9). Recently found that one of my all-time favourite shows from the 80's, Airwolf, is back doing the rounds on satellite. Loved that show, especially the theme tune. The Lady rules :-)

Collect memorable quotes from tv and film. At present I've over 200 pages worth.

[edit] Wiki World

Am a fan of the military history areas of Wikipedia, particularly 20th century naval. I'm especially interested in the Battle of Jutland which regardless of what anyone else says was THE naval clash of the 20th century (the Turkey Shoot doesn't count in my book because that was planes against ships. Jutland was ships against ships and men against men).

[edit] Contributing?

Yes but so far only to correct errors or rephrase something to make it better! Not brave enough to post anything, yet.
