[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Snapshot224.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Snapshot224.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] License tagging for Image:Exercito1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Exercito1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

[edit] Indy 500 the simulation and screenshots

Thanks for adding the CVG infobox - it was well-needed.

I just wanted to advise that while images are much appreciated, sometimes people get restrictive about how many screenshots can be added to an article. The official rule seems to be 1 in-game shot. Please do not take offense if someone discusses this with you sometime in the future.

As an aside, all screenshots are usually tagged with "{{Non-free game screenshot}}", like you already did with Image:Indy500sa.png . Also, I'm not sure why you replaced the in-game racing screenshot with a new one, but I might look at/compare which one is better and consult with you which would work best for the article.

Thanks, Guroadrunner 06:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC) (Indy 500 the sim article creator and contributor)

[edit] Tux logos

Hi, I've noticed that you are the contributor of Image:Tuxblog.jpg. You have specified in the Source field that this image originally came from Wikipedia. I don't understand how this is the case, as the link is self referencing. You have also specified the license is GFDL.

Did you create this image yourself, or did you find it somewhere and upload it? If you found it somewhere, where did you find it from?

Please respond either in here on your talk page, or on my talk page. Please do respond to this, otherwise the image may have to be deleted.

[edit] Not Vandalism

Hello. While although I'm sure you had the best of intentions, and were acting entirely in good faith, the edit you reverted on the xbox 360 page was not vandalism. (It may or may not have been a good edit, mind you. But that's a separate matter)
We're having a hard time tracking down where microsoft actually said that it's within 3-5%. Heck, we're even having a hard time confirming that that (rather suspicious) number is even what they consider to be normal for the 'industry' (or what industry they were allegedly talkinga bout).
Yes, lots (and lots and lots) of people seem to quote them as having said 3-5%, but we can't seem to find any sources that actually directly quote that figure; they simply mention it in passing, as though it's something they heard that someone heard that microsoft had said.
In any event, on a couple of the 360 talk pages (ie. on that page, and on the technical problems page), we've been discussing whether or not we can even definitively state that they made the claim, and whether or not it could be treated as being a 'normal' rate, even if we could finally find the quote.
uh, anyways. long story short: not vandalism, because they've been discussing it on the talk page, and it's in good faith. Bladestorm 13:39, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

It looks like Blade beat me to this. Anyways, please stop repeatedly making these edits to the intro. That section is under heavy discussion in talk right now and a consensus is being worked on. [edit] Unsourced, original research material you put back in Fanboy

Hi there! Over in the Fanboy article I removed some unsourced material that constituted original research, which is generally not to be included in encyclopedia articles. You put it back without explanation. Can you please come to the talk page and give some kind of reason why it should be there? If you can't, I'm going to take it out again because original research can't be included in articles. The material you put back in might even be true (probably is), but if it stays in the article without some kind of justification or sourcing, some overzealous editor or administrator is going to come along and delete the whole article, calling it a "magnet for original research". I'm trying to save the article. Vadder 17:07, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:PaperMario2.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:PaperMario2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 06:19, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your Recent PlayStation 2 article edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to PlayStation 2. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

I would also like to add that by reverting the information to that which is nearly a year old constitutes as vandalism. The Comparison of the sixth-generation era article is only needed as a summary of each console and therefore is more focused on comparison. PlayStation 2 is recognised as a world success and the current sales information is available, therefore this is absolutely important to place on the PlayStation 2 article itself, which is actually about the PlayStation 2, then the comparison article which is about four or more consoles. As you can see, reverting these edits is considered vandalism, you are taking away recent information and needed information. This information is of more importance on the PlayStation 2 article than a comparison page. Also, if you have added it to the comparison page there is no reason at all to get rid of it from the PlayStation 2 page. Please refrain from doing so in future. Thank you.

  • Evidence - [1] User stated that he/she was following WP:INTRO guideline, but did not clean. Instead removed summary information and latest updated information and reverted back to information nearly 7 months old [March 2007]. Also removed important references and sources for the article.

As mentioned, please refrain from doing so in the future. JTBX 21:05, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Angie Akers

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Angie Akers, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Angie Akers. [edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Banned360.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Banned360.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.

[edit] Actually

PS3 was a deciding factor in the win of the Blu-Ray. The article has this evidence cited. If you remove it, it will be deemed as vandalism. 64.236.121.129 (talk) 14:01, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I guess who is vadalizing something is you, trolling my user talk page. I just complained in article talk page and don't made any editions in the article changing this. --Ciao 90 (talk) 14:17, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Isabella Nardoni case AFD nomination

Hello, I just noticed you nominated the page Isabella Nardoni case (which I have created) for deletion yesterday. The result was Keep, as you can see here. Anyway, it was very impolite of you not to have notified me about your nomination on my talk page. I've been away from the computer for some days, but I found time to use it for a few minutes now. If I was to stay away for more days, and the article was to be deleted, I could have figured it out only after the deletion, which means that I wouldn't have the chance to improve it. The article is secured now, but keep that in mind for further nominations of yours. It really isn't nice to have your own work simply erased without your knowledge. Thank you, and happy editing.
