Chuck Girard

Chuck Girard (born in Los Angeles, California) is an American musician, and was a member of The Castells, The Hondells and later, Love Song, one of the pioneer Christian rock groups. He later enjoyed a solo career as a performer of Contemporary Christian Music. His daughter, Alisa Childers (nee Girard) was a member of the Christian pop trio ZOEgirl. In 1996 Chuck was a part of a gathering of the earliest pioneers of CCM, including Andre Crouch , Second Chapter of Acts , Barry McGuire , and many others. Four days of interviews and relaxed evening performances resulted in an historic DVD called "First Love", which truly chronicles the history of the music known as Christian rock. In October 2006, Chuck participated in The Beginnings Concert, where many of the most revered artists from the 70's/80's came together for two nights of music. A DVD of this performance was also released. Chuck continues in music ministry today, and travels the world bringing his message of worship and evangelism.
