Chartric "Chuck" Terrell Darby[1] (pronounced /CHAR-trick/)[2] (born October 22, 1975 in North, South Carolina) is an American football defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played college football at South Carolina State.
Darby won a Super Bowl ring with the Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII. He has also played for the Seattle Seahawks in his career.
The Lions signed Darby to a three-year contract. Darby is expected to take Shaun Rogers' spot at nose tackle alongside Cory Redding, who will line up at the 3-technique.

Darby attended North High School in North, South Carolina and was a student and a letterwinner in football. In football, he was a four-year letterman and was an All-State selection.
