I am an architectural historian, working in the Philadelphia suburbs. My specialty is residential architecture of the Delaware River Valley in the years 1770-1870. Through the past five years, I have written and lectured on the architecture of Quaker meeting houses and general colonial American religious architecture.

I also have an interest in American political history, either writing or assisting with the following books: The North Carolina Electoral College: The People and the Process Behind the Vote (Office of the NC Secretary of State, 1988 with 1992 update); North Carolina Election Returns 1790-1866 (Stockport OH, 1991); and Ohio Elects the President (Bookmasters, Inc., 2000).

Active member of the web community OurCampaigns.com, where I have served in several roles in the site governance. OC is the premier Internet source for historic election returns and information. My major projects at OC include updating the discussion of US Presidential nominations and elections, entering U.S. House races, and entering legislative races in NC. I have already completed all primaries, runoffs, and general elections in NC for President, Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and Lt. Governor. This information is based on the official returns (many of which were printed in the North Carolina Manual), and the majority of the information is not available elsewhere on the Internet. I endeavour to cite everything that I post, though I may have missed a citation here or there.

Right now, coverage of presidential elections at both Wikipedia and OurCampaigns is being throughly updated. I am operating under the impression that Wikipedia should have briefer but comprehensive coverage of campaigns, with the more detailed information at OurCampaigns. Entries on elections at OC are based on primary and secondary documents, not on high school history textbooks (let him that readeth understand).
