Christopher Award
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The motto of the Christopher Awards is "It's better to light one candle than to curse the darkness: Affirming the Highest Values of the Human Heart." The Christophers were founded in 1945 on the principle that one person could make a difference. They were founded by Father James Keller who wanted its members to emphasize what was good and positive. In 1949, the organization began saluting people in the entertainment and communications industry for work of "substance and quality."
