Christine Tan

Christine Tan (pronounced Tahn) is an Asian financial journalist from CNBC Asia and is the Singapore anchor for "Worldwide Exchange", the groundbreaking global business news program broadcasting live each weekday from Asia, Europe, and the United States. In addition she co-anchors with CNBC Europe's Ross Westgate and CNBC US' Brian Shactman, she also anchors CNBC Asia's award-winning and longest-running feature program, "Managing Asia", which she interviews key executives and leaders of Asian companies.

Prior to Worldwide Exchange (which debuted on 2005-12-19), Christine Tan was an anchor on the now-defunct CNBC Asia program, Asia Market Wrap, which in turn, was cancelled on 2005-12-16.
Tan has over 15 years experience in journalism, half of that with CNBC Asia. She was a recipient of the Best News Program award at the 2004 Asian Television Awards on behalf of The Asian Wall Street Journal. The same program also won a finalist award at the 2004 New York Festivals Awards for Coverage of a Breaking News Story.
Tan was also a finalist for Best News Anchor in 2001 and 2002 in the New York Festivals Awards. She was also a Best Current Affairs Presenter finalist at the 1997 Asian Television Awards and received High Commendations.
Tan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and English and a Masters of Arts with Honors in Sociology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
