Chris Kanik is a young and rising stand-up comedian, who gained mass popularity, through the social networking site MySpace (www.ChrisKanik.com) [1]. Chris is a graduate of Cornell University and hold degrees in Economics and Biochemistry. He was raised in Union City, NJ. He speaks Spanish and Turkish.

Chris is most recognized for his cross country tour of the United States, in order to meet his first MySpace friend, Tom Anderson. He toured the country with his brother, primarily acting as camera man, and a close friend. Chris performed at nearly every Improv Comedy club in his way to Los Angeles, opening for such comedians as Daman Wayans, Charlie Murphy, Tony Rock and Sara Silverman. He was nearly arrested when he reached MySpace headquarters. He was warned by MySpace HeadQuarters Building Superintendant, while mediated by a police officer on the scene, that he was prohibited from entering the building ever again. He was warned that he would be arrested was found there anymore. There has never been any official public statement on the matter, by Tom Anderson, or any MySpace public relations officials. Rumors circulated that if footage of the event was released, a lawsuit would be pursued, by MySpace parent company Fox. This was posted on Chris Kanik's video sharing channel, in this [2].
