Choi Soo-Jong (alternately Choi Su-Jong, Korean: 최수종, Hanja: 崔秀宗, born on December 28, 1962) is a Korean actor. Choi made his debut in 1987 as a young actor in the TV soap opera ‘Love Tree’, and has been acting for 20 years since. He has appeared in both movies and on television . He has received world-wide recognition for his principal parts in several highly successful shows including his role as Dae Joyoung (in the Korean historical drama Dae Jo Yeong (TV series)), and as Jang Bogo in the hit Korean drama series, Emperor of the Sea. He has also appeared as MC on award shows, such as the 2005 KBS Acting Awards.

- Family: Married to actress Ha Hee Ra. They have two children: a son, Min-seo and a daughter, Yoon-seo. Choi Soo Jong and Ha Hee Ra's happy marriage is a well-known in celebrity circles. When Ha was pregnant, Choi did the housework, cooked, and let her rest, a fact that has made Choi very popular with Korean women.

- Choi is known as the "NG Mawang" (NG Master). When he makes NGs by mistake, he tries to make it fun and brighten other cast's minds. From the co-workers he worked with, he is known as a funny person and bright person who makes the mood of the casts brighter (when they are all tired from acting and like that).
- Choi is frequently seen text messaging and making phone calls with his wife Ha Hee Ra while filming.
