Chloe Fox

Chloe Fox (born 1971) is an Australian politician, and the Labor member for the South Australian state electoral district of Bright.
The daughter of Australian children's author, Mem Fox, Fox attended Blackwood High School in Adelaide's south and attended the University of Adelaide and the City University, London. She worked as a journalist for six years before becoming a secondary school teacher.
Fox was involved in politics from a young age, handing out Labor how-to-vote cards for the at the age of 14. At the 2004 federal election, she stood against member Andrew Southcott in the safe Liberal seat of Boothby and achieved a 9% primary vote swing. She subsequently ran in the marginal Liberal seat of Bright at the 2006 South Australian state election against shadow minister Angus Redford, who was attempting to switch from the Legislative Council to the House of Assembly. She was tipped to face a difficult battle, but won in a landslide.
She was formerly engaged to fellow member Leon Bignell from March 2006 to March 2007.[1]
After she discussed her wedding dress for the first time, she commented that she felt like a princess, earning her a Parliamentary nickname of Princess.[2]
