Chitila is a town in the west of Ilfov county, Romania, situated 9 km to the north west of the Municipality of Bucharest. It is often seen as a satellite town of Bucharest.

Chitilia is linked to Bucharest by four public bus routes run by RATB, Bucharest's municipal transport operator. The bus routes servicing Chitila to and from Bucharest include 164, 405, 422, 423 and 645.
