Chess Engines Grand Tournament

Chess Engines Grand Tournament, also known as CEGT, is one of the best-known organizations that tests computer chess software by playing chess programs against one another and producing a rating list.
CEGT routinely tests amateur and professional chess engines in various time formats such as 40/4 (40 moves in 4 minutes, repeating), 40/40 (40 moves in 40 minutes, repeating), and 40/120 (40 moves in 120 minutes, repeating). The 40/120 matches are considered some of the best computer-chess games freely available online.
As of December 2006, the testers team is composed by 13 members coordinated by Heinz van Kempen. The team ran so far more than 120,000 games. Games include SMP testing.
As of April 4, 2007, Rybka 2.3 64 2CPU leads the 40/120 rating lists standings with 3002. The second place engine after other versions of Rybka is Zap!Chess Zanzibar 64 2CPU with 2945.
