The Chemistry Tour was in 2006, Girls Aloud's first arena-based concert tour. They appeared in various arenas across the United Kingdom.

Dates for the tour were revealed in October 2005, before tickets went on sale in November 2005. The venues were larger than the ones used in the previous tour (which was a theatre tour), and the girls performed fewer dates (just ten).
Unlike their 2005 tour, there was no Irish leg of the Chemistry Arena Tour - something which many Irish fans complained about since the announcement. It was believed that dates in Ireland were planned to be added before Christmas but were scrapped after their latest releases did not perform as well as earlier ones in the Irish Charts.
Support acts were girl groups Frank (from TV Show Totally Frank) and Nylon.
The tour received rave reviews from respected publications such as The Times, The Guardian (both awarding 4/5 marks) and The Telegraph.

[edit] Start of Show
For the start of the show, the girls were colour coordinated in black, white and red outfits.
Nadine: Black and White horizontal striped top which covered to under the bust, a black and white vertical striped corset with red lace, black knickers, black fish net stockings and black high heels.
Nicola: Black and White horizontal striped dress, which ended above the knee, with a red bow on her stomach and black high heels.
Sarah: Black sleeve-less vest, with red bows over the bust, white vest under black vest with sleeves to elbow, black hot pants and knee high black leather boots.
Cheryl: Black body suit with starts at bust and ends under the knee, with red vest under the suit and white high heels.
Kimberley: Black Body suit, also, with red buttons and red high heels.
The band performed "Biology",, Waiting and Love Machine in these outfits. For the song No Good Advice, the girls donned white lab jackets over their costumes.
[edit] 1st Costume Change
After the first costume change the girls emerged in brighter costume, which would be worn during the summer.
Nadine: Bright yellow three quarter length jeans, pink vest top, gold glitter throw and silver high heels. She also wore a green bikini under her costume, which was visible.
Nicola: Green and yellow hot pants, leg warmers, shoes, white full sleeve jumper which just covers the bust, with red bra under jumper. Also she wore red and black striped gloves with the fingers cut out.
Sarah: Silver hooded jacket, pink bra, blue hot pants, black and white gloves with the fingers caught out.
Cheryl: Red jacket, pink bra, pink baseball hat, denim hotpants, leg warmers.
Kimberley: Pink hoodie which covers bust, pink glitter vest, lemon hot pants, high heels.
These set of costumes were performed in for "Long Hot Summer, "Whole Lotta History", Watch Me Go and "I Predict A Riot".
[edit] Second Costume Change
After the second costume change, the girls rose from the floor with show girl costumes.
Nadine: Pink show girl dress with frilly pink skirt which ends just under the thigh, black fish net stockings and heels.
Nicola: Purple and grey show girl dress, same design as Nadine's, Black knee high stockings and silver stilettos.
Sarah: Metallic/ purple body suit which ends just under thigh, with black knee high boots.
Cheryl: Black and White diamond pattern show girl dress, with black knee high boots.
Kimberley: Gold show girl dress, with black tassles under the bust and above the knee and heels.
The girls performed "See The Day,Sound of the Underground and a medley of "Fame" / "What A Feeling" / "Footloose" in the above outfits.
[edit] Third Costume Change
After the third costume change the girls emerged in more dressy typr clothes.
Nadine: White full length dress with split at thigh, and heels.
Nicola: Green dress to just under the thigh, gold taslles under bust and silver heels.
Sarah: Acrylic purple knee length dress, wrap round at stomach, and skirt in shreds.
Cheryl: Bright Pink dress with holes just over hips on either side.
Kimberley: Pale green wrap round dress, same design as Sarah.
The girls performed "The Show", Intro, Models, Racey lacey and "I'll Stand By You" in these outfits.

The girls emerged in black dresses head to toe with hoods. The girls sang Wild Horses in these costumes. When the song changes to Wake Me Up, the girls take off the black robes to more colourful costumes.
Nadine: White shirt top and black hot pants, with chequered black and white un-tied dickie bow. This costume impersonates a police woman.
Nicola: Blue and white sailor costume which ends under thigh. This is to impersonate a sailor.
Sarah: Admirals white jacket, yellow hot pants, white bra and knee high boots. This is to impersonate a sea captain.
Cheryl: Red and white chequered top tied at the midriff, denim hotpants and high heels. This is to impersonate a cow girl.
Kimberley: Pink body suit which ends just under thigh. this is to impersonate an F1 driver.
The girls also performed the song "Jump" in these outfits.
[edit] Broadcasts and recordings
The last night of the tour at Wembley Arena was filmed and was released on DVD on November 13, 2006. The special features include the music videos for Biology, See the Day, and Whole Lotta History. The Greatest Hits Tour (i.e. Chemistry Tour) charted at #5 in the Music DVD chart. An edited version of the DVD was shown on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve 2006.
[edit] Aftermath
Girls Aloud performed at the 2006 V Festival in Chelmsford on August 19 and in Staffordshire on August 20, on the JJB/Puma Arena stage. The girls received mass critical acclaim for their performances, with people being turned away from the JJB/Puma Arena because it was too full. They also performed four sell-out shows at the Millennium Forum in Derry on August 22 and 23, which were Nadine's first ever shows in her home town.
