Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. [edit] Polish communists and Catholicism.

Hello Chamaoloan. You asked me here about relationships between Communist Party (technically Polish United Worker's Party) and religion in Communist Poland. I'm not a scholar of this but, if my memory serves me well:

• Religion was NOT explicitly banned in most ComBloc countries (excluding nutcases like Albania and North Korea). However, it was discouraged. Person could attend temple of his choosing, but sometimes s/he could be harrassed and even prosecuted for doing so.
• Usually ComBloc countries allowed so-called "traditional" religions, which had been practised by people of the land before Communist regime came into being, but severely disapproved proselythism. In Poland, Roman Catholic, Orthodox Christian, Protestant churches and Jewish sinagogues existed. I'm not sure about mosques, as Poland did not have historical Muslim population to speak of.
• Religious affiliation was a huge NO-NO for Communist Party's member in all ComBloc countries BUT Poland. One could be either practising Christian (Muslim, Jewish) or Communist. In Poland one could be both Roman Catholic and Communist. I do not know was such liberty extended to practising Orthodox Christians or Jewish in Poland.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
