Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, son of Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi, was born in 1960 in Gujrat. He is a graduate of Georgetown University where he completed his bachelors degree in political science. For his primary and high school, he attended the famous Aitchison Singh College Lahore, where many successful Pakistani businessmen and politicians have attended.
In Pakistan, he went to FC college Lahore, the same college that President Pervez Musharraf and his close aids Tariq Aziz went to. He comes from a renowned political family. Wajahat is a businessmans and an agriculturista, who is President of Pakistan Muslim League, District Gujrat, Muhalla Bhangiyan.
Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain is also known to be very notorius for indulging in wrong activities.In 2008,Wajahat was caught in London smuggling drugs.In other cases,Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain is known for kidnappings.
He served as member District Council Gujrat during 1987-91. He was first elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 1993; and, re-elected in 1997. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and President of PML, is his brother, and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, former Chief Minister of Punjab is his brother-in-law. He is serving as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He has been elected to the National assembly three times.
