Eldon Chase Miller (born January 28, 1987) is a NASCAR Nationwide Series driver from Canton, Georgia. He competes part-time for Gillett Evernham Motorsports in the #9 Verizon/Motorola, Unilever Dodge in the Nationwide Series.

[edit] Rising Ranks
Miller spent his youth racing Go-Karts, from Florida to Delaware. In the World Karting Association (WKA), he won the prestigious North Carolina Division Championship as well as three track Championships in Georgia, at North Georgia Speedway and Peach State Speedway.
In 2001, Miller joined the Legends car ranks, winning more than twenty races at various tracks throughout the southeast, including the annual DeSoto Winter Nationals Championship. By 2002, Miller moved to the Allison Legacy Series, a 3/4 scale Cup Car series. Miller was the "Rookie Of The Year" and finished second in overall points.
Miller kept moving up in 2003, going to the Southern All Stars Series, now the ASA Late Model series. He won the "Rookie Of The Year" award and finished second in overall points while racking up the most wins of the series. He completed 99.81% of laps and earned his way into select USAR Hooters Pro Cup events by 2004. In those USAR races, Miller was in the top five every time.

Miller joined this series in 2005 at the age of 18 made his ARCA debut at Nashville Superspeedway. In that race he moved to the top-five before falling out of the event. Then, at Gateway International Raceway, Miller led multiple laps before falling out due to transmission trouble.
Miller was then tapped by Dodge Motorsports to drive their Cunningham Motorsports #4 Driver Development Dodge in six ARCA races in 2006. After an 11th place finish at Nashville, Miller charged to the win at Pocono Raceway. He set the record as the youngest driver to ever win an ARCA race at Pocono. He then backed up his win with a dominating performance at the second annual ARCA Pocono event before a cylinder failure took him from the lead, with only eight laps remaining, and forced him to a fifth place finish. He also qualified on the pole at Gateway and was leading the race when more mechanical problems plagued him. His outstanding performance won him the opportunity to compete in the Craftsman Truck Series with the Dodge Development Team.

Miller joined up with Bobby Hamilton Racing near the end of the 2006 season as a part of the Dodge Driver Development Program. In only his fourth start, Miller scored a top ten at Martinsville Speedway. He was signed to drive the #4 Dodge Development Open Joist Dodge Ram for the full 2007 season. However, after five races Dodge discontinued their Driver Development Program and Miller and BHR parted ways. He was soon hired by Ray Evernham to drive a part-time schedule in his Busch Series #9 car. Miller had a second-place qualifying effort at Kentucky Speedway, and a best finish of fifteenth at Gateway.
[edit] Nascar Nationwide Series
The 2008 season brings continued success to Chase Miller. Running a partial schedule in the Gillett Evernham Motorsports #9 Dodge he scored his first career top 10 finish in the Nascar Nationwide Series. He finished in 8th place at Darlington Raceway, "The Track Too Tough to Tame". It was only his third start of the season and only his 9th career start. It was the first time he had ever seen the track. He joins an elite group of only 10 drivers to finish with a top 10 in their Raybestos® rookie year, since the program was created in 1989. Of the 10 rookies, only 5 have scored a top 10 in their first attempt at Darlington. They are Jeff Gordon, Todd Bodine, Ron Hornaday, Denny Hamlin, and Chase Miller.
