Charles Spencer (born March 17, 1982 in Poughkeepsie, New York) is a current American football offensive tackle for the Houston Texans of the NFL. He was the first pick selected of the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh. He was set to back up Ephraim Salaam in Houston but during training camp and might have won the starting job. However, two games into the season he suffered a knee injury and was out for the season. As of June 30th, 2007, Spencer is still rehabbing his knee and hopefully will be healthy by the season's start, and improve the team's uninspiring offensive line.
