Chandwa

Chandwa, located around 75 km from Ranchi, the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand, is a very small town.
It is a block under the newly created Latehar district of Jharkhand state. It is surrounded by picturesque sceneries and is well known for bauxites and coal minings. It is a mineral rich place like most of the other places of Jharkhand.
Hindi is the main language by its resident. Chandwa needs good schools to come of age and compete with other towns in the nearby areas. The SS HIgh school and other government schools are over crowded now and are not able to impart the same quality education which everyone needs in the modern world.
Recently there have been news of some companies like Essar, Birla and Mittal steel setting up some small projects nearby it but something fruitful is yet to happen. A bit of industrial touch will surely get Chandwa going and would put it into the Indian map sufficiently. Recently Abhijit group is doing some more thing to improve the life status of its residents.It is also setting up apower project in "Chakla".5 km away from chandwa.It will also cover chitarpur. Chandwa is also famous for its "Ma Nagar Bahagwati"temple,situated in "Nagar".8 km away from chandwa in chandwa-chatara main road.
