Chak Jhumra

Chak Jhumra is a town near the city of Faisalabad, Pakistan. It is a sub-division of Faisalabad District and has a Tehsil municipal administration (TMA).Chak Jhumra Town consists of 15 union counsils. There is a Sikh Gurudwara (shrine) dedicated to Shaheed Bhai Dalip Singh.[1]
The town has a runway belonging to the army. However it is rarely used. As Chak Jhumra is a railway junction so many people use its railway station for going to other parts of the country.By road town is connected to Salarwala, Shahkot (Pakistan), Chiniot and Faisalabad.Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal Sahi Ex-Speaker Punjab Assembly)is the famous political personality of the Chak Jhumra.Major General Muammad Akram Sahi Commandant Infantry School Quetta, Balochistan is the youngar brother of Ch Muhammad Afzal Sahi. Chak Jhumra has produced many sport personality like Ch. Muhammad Rafique Cheema(late) made name in the field of Kabadi and Athelitics internationaly.

Chak Jhumra is usually known as one of most dangerous areas of Faislabad.Because it has some very popular gangs. which probably rules not just the town of jhumra also many villages around it. These groups are known as DHILLO, CHEEMA, BAJWA, and CHATTHA these are all their casts. People fears to go out of their homes.Because many murder cases have been reported by those gangs.JUTTS and ARAINS are the major casts here. There are also known other casts RANA, TAILI, MALIK, MUGHALS, MAIRASSI, JILLAI, MAUCHI, SHEIKH, SHAH and other not well known casts are found in jhumra city. There is very popular school nammed Bloom Star High School which is one of the best private schools in the area. children from miles away (from near by villages) comes to study at bloom star school. because its educational level meets standerd of faislabad's small private schools, academies and istitutions. In 2004, Four students from Bloom Star High School, made the new record in history of the town by getting the highest marks in 5th grade there names are Zainab Tariq with 263 marks out of 300, Mohammad Ahmad With 262 out of 300, Hammad Hassan 254 out of 300, and Rana Shoib with 249 out of 300. There is also very beautiful and well known mosque and tomb of hazrat Qaim Ali Shah. people comes from far away to visit the tomb. There is also a litte market called Chak Jhumra main bazar. In which people comes from all around the city and near by villages to shop. It has Punjabi culturul and historical values for their products food and other stuff.
