I added the C Fuck New York as the callsign. I heard that it stood for that somewhere (maybe on the station myself). But I'm pretty sure that it doesn't mean North York... the station never broadcasted from North York.
- It's fine to note "Fuck New York" as a backronym (a humorous but probably not really true post facto explanation), but we cannot assert that it's the real meaning of the CFNY callsign without a definitive source. Bearcat 23:56, 8 August 2005 (UTC)
- Per the CRTC's web site, station call signs do not have any meaning in Canada, simply being assigned from the range assigned to Canada by the ITU. It's asinine to include it in the info block when it's a fabrication of the poster. Cerowyn 17:10, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] CD Compilations
I'm not sure where to put this, but at least one CD was released which seems to be a feature of semi-indy music. One release was "Campus Tour Sampler '96" [1] which I used to have. -- Sy / (talk) 07:32, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't really like that section; it's pretty much a large list of redlinks. I think that we need to somehow reorganize it or get rid of it. Thoughts? –Dvandersluis 14:56, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
This section should be re-organized, but the information is important, especially since the entire article is heavy on the "Dean Blundell" content. "Humble and Fred" the morning show which aired for more than 10 years is not mentioned. Also, I am surprised to see Steve Anthony on the list, I remember him on MuchMusic, if he was part of the crew at one point all this information should be verified and added.
