Could the person who wrote the above paragraph please mention any information sources? Many people who own the earlier hand crafted Carlos guitars are in love with them and want to know more about them.

Most of the info currently online (9/24/06) seems to be on this forum; [1] Are you sure about the late 60's? It seems from reading the above forum that the hand crafted ones may have been up to the late 70's and possibly the very early eighties. There is a good possibility that some of the 70's bodies were hand crafted with excellent wood but very cheap factory tuning keys (tuning machines). The hand crafted 249 solid mahogany acoustic plays like a very nice Martin copy. Some people like it better than their Martin. Some people have had the strings lowered and the keys replaced on some of these older guitars and had much better response. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.81.69.138 (talk • contribs)
