Carson Jones Daly (born June 22, 1973 in Santa Monica, California) is an American television personality. He first became widely known as a VJ on MTV's Total Request Live (TRL). He currently hosts Last Call with Carson Daly on NBC. Before becoming a VJ on TRL, Daly was a radio DJ with KROQ, based in Los Angeles, California.

Daly attended Santa Monica High School. He is of Irish descent[1] and has worked with Guinness on Proposition 3-17 to make Saint Patrick's Day an official holiday.[2]
Daly's mother, Pattie Daly Caruso, is a breast cancer survivor who was honored at Lifetime’s Breast Cancer Heroes Luncheon in 2004. She and Carson have become breast cancer activists.[3] He has been spotted wearing Livestrong bracelets on numerous occasions.
