Carnia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Carnia (Cjargne in standard Friulian, Cjargna/Cjargno in local variants of Friulian, Karnien in German) is a historical-geographic region of Friuli, which is part of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region.
Carnia covers the western and central part of the mountain region of the Province of Udine, therefore it borders Veneto and Austria (Kärnten), but not Slovenia. Its most important town is Tolmezzo.
