Carmarthen was a parliamentary constituency in Wales which returned one Member of Parliament to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from its creation in 1542 until it was abolished for the 1997 general election.
After its abolition, it was partly replaced by the new Carmarthen East and Dinefwr constituency, and partly by Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire
