Carlos Moreno de Caro

Carlos Moreno de Caro (born in the city of Barranquilla), is a Colombian politician and founder of the Let the Moreno play movement political party.[1] He has been councilman for Bogotá,[2] and a member of both the Chamber of Representatives and Senate at different terms.
In 2007 he was appointed by president Álvaro Uribe as ambassador to South Africa, generating controversy after Moreno proposed including in his diplomatic envoy war displaced people, a beauty pageant queen and a soccer player.[3] He has generated controversy in the past for being involved in verbal[4] and corruption[5] scandals accepting in his party lines politicians expelled from other parties with pressumed ties to illegal paramilitary groups.[6]
