Replacement Castmembers

The original cast was Darrell, Eric, Kendal, Rachel, Sarah and Shane. During the season, Sarah was voted off and Raquel took her place. The group toured various university campuses around the United States.

• Eric and Kendall dated during the show, as did Rachel and Darrell.
• Affluent Sarah was known as the weak link throughout the entire time she was there. After they failed their first second mission, they cut her some slack and decided not to vote her off. But after losing the third mission and were told they had to choose between voting someone off and forfeiting the money they had won so far, the group voted her out (though Kendall did not agree with and was upset by the decision) and she was replaced by Raquel.
• Rachel girlfriend at the time, Amy, visited the cast while they were in Tucson, Arizona.
• Shane slapped Darrell, sparking a short-lived feud
• Two of their missions involved the cast of The Real World: Las Vegas. In the first mission, they had to steal something from the Real World residence and get a picture of any Real Worlder handcuffed to their hot tub. To do that, Raquel (who met Real World's Steven during joint auditions) got Steven to show her and Rachel the Real World Suite at The Palms, then used his weakness for women to get him handcuffed to the hot tub so they could do their deed. They won the challenge. The second mission saw the Real World and Road Rules casts meeting on a Nevada tourism boat for a series of games.

• Since the cast toured several college campuses, the infamous Road Rules horns were stolen on various occasions.
