Talk:Caelum Bliss

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As founder and musical composer of Caelum Bliss, I, Tony Hamera, own the copyrights to anything associated to the band Caelum Bliss.

I'm not exactly sure why you posted this. If this was an attempt to claim "ownership" of the article, you should see Ownership of articles. If your point was simply to warn people about using images / music clips / etc. without permission, I think you'll find that most editors are fairly supportive when it comes to policing copyright violations. [edit] POV

The bulk of this article appears to have been written by Tony Hamera, the founder of the band. Please refer to the policies on Vanity, and autobiography. Dsreyn 16:29, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

I tend to agree with Dsreyn. What we've used in the past to determine the merit for a wikipedia article of smaller indy bands is links to known goth/industrial trade magazine reviews or attendance at international music festivals (international in scope, a local band can be invited to perform at a festival near their home, but the festival should have bands from more than one country) or the band should be carried on an established label. That said, what I'd like to suggest is that the author / musician (Tony) look to see if there is a way that Caelum Bliss could be referenced and included in a larger more generic entry ... I created the List of California Goth and Industrial Bands as a place for smaller bands that have some following to at least list the number of albums they've released, their hometown, and link to their page. There may be a larger US or a regional list that Caelum Bliss may fit into. I've seen at least one Sacramento band have their article deleted for not yet having really performed outside of Nor-Cal.
