[edit] Welcome!
Hey C3H5N3O92010! I saw your name on an AfD vote and was instantly intrigued by your username, so I decided to have a look. I'm a bit chemistry-savvy, and realised that your name is a reference to nitroglycerine, C3H5N3O9, although I prefer the formula C3H5(NO3)3, as it's a better representation of it's molecular structure; you might want to shed some light on your username on your About Me page, including what the 2010 on the end means (?). You might also want to go to your preferences and change your signature to include tags so that the chemical formula displays correctly (click [Edit] to see how I've done it). Great userpage, by the way! I like the similarity to Wikipedia's home page. Hope to see you around! haz (user talk) 15:07, 21 March 2006

[edit] Removal of fair use images
Twice now [1] [2] I have removed the same fair use images from User:C3H5N3O92010/UserBoxes. Per terms of Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9, you are not permitted to use images tagged as fair use on your userpages or anywhere outside of the main article namespace. Please do not re-add the images. If you have questions about this, please feel free to ask me. Thanks, --Durin 21:46, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- (RE: Your comment on my talk page)
- Neither of these positions grants you authority to release these images from their copyrights or in any way violate the copyright claims of the organizations that hold them. Sorry, but the use of these images must adhere to Wikipedia policy. This is because to have an environment with all sorts of special exclusions, rationale, and unusual situations would create a copyright adherence situation that would be frankly untenable. The Wikipedia policy regarding fair use policy is clear, concise, and easy to follow. It is the best compromise we have for handling this situation. I'm sorry if you feel that negatively affects you. Nevertheless, the policy must be adhered to. All the best, --Durin 04:39, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Dodge Avenger 2007-F.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Dodge Avenger 2007-F.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 12:49, 23 June 2006 (UTC )
[edit] SSPX
Hey, thanks for your comments on my talk page. If you don't mind me asking, tell me a bit about yourself and where you stand politically and religiously. 2nd Piston Honda 02:34, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removal of Fair-Use Images
I removed all of the images from User:C3H5N3O92010/Photos because they're released under fair-use. See WP:FUIR for more information. -- tariqabjotu 04:51, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Original tabs option
Hi C3H5N3O92010. This is a quick message to let you know that the caction tool option variable "keepOriginalTabs" no longer works, due to a bug in a new version of the script. The presence of the old option variable in your monobook.js will not cause any errors, however if you wish to continue having the original tabs option, please change the variable in your monobook.js from keepOriginalTabs to ctOriginalTabs. Many thanks. If you find any new bugs in the script, please let me know! haz (talk) e 11:21, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:20050705-panel2.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:20050705-panel2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] NRA
Hi, since you support the NRA, perhaps you would be willing to add Category:Wikipedians who are members of the NRA to your userpage to be counted. --Kimontalk 22:03, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Dodge Intrepid ESX 3-6.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Dodge Intrepid ESX 3-6.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. [edit] April 2008
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Guillermo Vargas. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. Triwbe (talk) 14:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Dodge Intrepid ESX 1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Dodge Intrepid ESX 1.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
The following images also have this problem:
- Image:Dodge Intrepid ESX 3-1.jpg
- Image:Dodge Intrepid ESX 2-2.jpg
