I would like to officially dispute the neutrality of this page. Tsjackso 12:57, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

The only possibly non-neutral statement I see at this point is that he's "happily married". Is that what you're disputing? raekwon 13:20, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
There isn't anything too radical on this page; if anything its too conservative. I've held off of writting anything major until I find sources.Gabriel Spiro 01:07, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] post-tomczak

can anybody add in some more detail on the post-tomczak mahaney? (ie. 1998-2008, well referenced)

I don't think this is very relevant. Tomczak leaving did not cause a significant change on C.J Mahaney, or on PDI. --Mark (Mschel) 19:24, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

It did. Compare his pre-1998 associations with his post-1998 ones and the shift is enormous. Unless you are saying that SGM is a part of the shepherding and restorationist movements, which it was during the Tomczak years? Anyway... what I meant was: are you able to add in detail on Mahaney's recent activities? Somthing covering the period 1998-2008 would be really helpful! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Look2008 (talkcontribs) 00:04, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Reference 2 is a broken link. Can anyone add a valid reference here? --Superduperpup (talk) 09:00, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tomzack leaving

"Mahaney served as a co-leader (with his mentor Larry Tomczak) of that church for 18 years, before the two parted ways, never to be seen on the same platform again." Is there a source to conclude that they were never to be seen on the same platform again? Neither man is dead, so even if they haven't appeared together yet, we don't know that there won't be some context in the future where they will be together. I recommend this being sourced our removed.

I think the following should be removed:

Tomczak himself has described the split as "an unbelievable nightmare" during which his family were "were threatened in various ways if we did not cooperate with [SGM]... A letter was circulated in an attempt to discredit me and to distort the events surrounding my departure"[3]. No formal public statement has ever been made by Mahaney on this situation.

1. he left from SGM not CJ and it is included in the SGM page.

2. It has a negative point of view.

Also, is there a source for this "No formal public statement has ever been made by Mahaney on this situation." Everyone who I spoke who was affiliated at the time says that the letter was written by Larry himself and that there was a statement given at the time.

If we keep the paragraph in, which I think should be deleted, it should at least be sourced.

What do you think? Potatoeater100 11:14, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Potatoeater100

CAROLYN MAHANEY I have added the short sentence informing readers of Carolyn Mahaney, CJ's wife. I also included an internal link to take interested readers to my page on Carolyn. I have created a page detailing Carolyn and her ministry. I would greatly appreciate any reviews or critiques of my page "Carolyn Mahaney". This is my first time contributing to Wikipedia and I would love any feedback you could provide! Thanks!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.113.72.132 (talk) 18:05, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
