Robert Smith Cunis (born 5 January 1941 in Whangarei) played 20 Test matches for New Zealand. His son Stephen plays cricket for Canterbury. Test Match Special commentator Alan Gibson once commented, "This is Cunis at the Vauxhall End. Cunis, a funny sort of name: neither one thing nor the other."[1]
