[edit] Casting

I haven't been able to find documenation of what roles were played by Anna Tzelniker, Bernard Stone, and Toni Palmer in the original cast. I'd guess Mrs. Josephs, Buddy Boy, and Mrs. Joyce Matthew, respectively. Tzelniker, a Yiddish theatre actress originally from Romania, would have been about 40 at the time, which seems far too old for the part of Joyce Matthew. Toni Palmer, later a TV actress, would have been about the right age for that role. I think Buddy Boy is a singing role, and Bernard Stone would be the only remaining male whose name is given on the online listings for the album.

If someone has the original cast album, they can presumably settle this. -- Jmabel | Talk 08:21, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rose Hill[er?]

This anonymous edit without citation changed the name "Rose Hill" to "Rose Hiller". I was working from Kennedy & Muir when I wrote "Rose Hill", but I don't have it handy and could imaginably have typo'd. Does someone have either that or the original cast album to verify? Footlight.com does have "Hiller" [1], but rowntreemusicaltheatre.co.uk [2] has "Hill", and since Rose Hill was an actress in quite a few West End musicals around that time and I've never heard of "Rose Hiller", so I'm pretty sure I have it right. Anon, if you are reading this: what was your source? - Jmabel | Talk 05:38, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to go out on what seems to be a pretty steady limb and revert back to "Hill". - Jmabel | Talk 05:40, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

I can catagorically confirm that it was Rose Hiller because I knew her and have a copy of the cast programme. She was also married to cast member Bernard Stone.[3] {{subst:Mickyrisk|7 July 2006}}

[edit] Hornchurch

I recently copy-edited an addition about a 2000 revival production at the Queens Theatre in Hornchurch. I don't know the theatre; is it major enough to make this production worthy of mention? I ask because I certainly refrain from adding a lot of minor productions of various musicals. - Jmabel | Talk 23:04, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
