"Bleed the Freak" is the second single by the American metal group Alice in Chains from their first album Facelift. The song follows three of the groups most popular songs at track #4 but has held its own as a definitive track by the band.
The song has been released 3 times in 3 different ways. The first being the Facelift version, the next being a demo from the Alice in Chains box set Music Bank and the final being from their Live album in 2000. It was the first single from Facelift, and in 2006 was played frequently as an opener for shows.
Leading up to the release of the Live album, a video of a 1990 performance of the song at The Moore in Seattle was shown as a music video for it.
"Bleed the Freak" was rated as the #4 Alice in Chains song of all time by fans on the [AICfreaks.com] survey in February 2007.
