Paul Cafaro (born May 8, 1966)[1], better known as Blag Dahlia, is an American musician[2], producer, and author.

[edit] Biography
Cafaro is a native of Highland Park, Illinois, and is most well-known as the front-man of Dwarves, a punk rock band.[3] He has authored two novels, Armed To The Teeth With Lipstick (1998) and Nina (2006).[4] Cafaro's subject matter is famously controversial. His novels deal with promiscuous teenagers, whorehouses, graphic violence, and other deviant behavior. He has produced albums by Mondo Generator[5], The Holograms[6], The Dwarves[7], F.Y.P, John Cougar Concentration Camp and the Godawfuls[8].
Cafaro also released solo material as Blag Dahlia and under one of his other aliases, Earl Lee Grace. Blackgrass (1995), a 13-song LP of bluegrass songs [9], was released on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label using a backing band of real bluegrass musicians. Cafaro also started an acoustic duo with Nick Oliveri named The Uncontrollable.

In 2004, Dahlia was involved in a spat with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme backstage at the Los Angeles, California club Dragonfly. According to report by Rolling Stone, which was posted on the magazine's web site on November 11, 2004, Homme began pouring beer over Dahlia's head while singing, "Whatcha gonna do?" before the Dwarves' midnight show at the club.
After a pushing match, Homme reportedly struck Dahlia over the head with a beer bottle.[10] Homme was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery, to which he pleaded no contest. Two other charges were dropped in exchange for Homme's plea. Homme was sentenced to three years probation and was ordered to enroll in both anger management therapy and a residential rehab facility for approximately 60 days. He was also ordered to keep 100 yards (91 m) away from the Dwarves frontman and away from the Dragonfly club. Homme is prohibited from carrying deadly weapons.[11]

Two songs recorded by Earl Lee Grace were on the soundtrack to A.W. Feidler's short film, The Job (1997).[12] In 2001, Dahlia performed "Zine-O-Phobia Music" for the Ghost World soundtrack.[13] The Dwarves song "Massacre", which Dahlia wrote, was on the soundtrack to the 2006 film Hostel.[14] He also narrated the 2007 Gotham Award-nominated independent film Loren Cass.
