Black Ranger

Black Ranger is a designation given to several Power Rangers characters. In the Sentai version of the show, the Black Ranger usually serves as second in command, which is a position taken by the Blue Ranger or Green Ranger if there isn't one on the team. Black Rangers are often part of the core Ranger team. When the Black Ranger is not in the core five Rangers, this position is usually taken by a Green Ranger. Like the Green Ranger, there has never been a female Black Ranger.

Zack Taylor (Walter Emanuel Jones) is the original Black Power Ranger and Adam Park (Johnny Yong Bosch), his successor, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Adam later on becomes a Green Ranger in Power Rangers: Zeo and Power Rangers: Turbo.

Abraham (Johnny Yong Bosch) is the ancestor of Adam Park from the year 1880 and is the Black Wild West Ranger when Kimberly Hart is transported through time and had to fight a monster in the past. He only held his powers for a single episode, after which the Power Coins are returned to Zordon and Alpha 5 so they could be earned by the Power Rangers in the 1990s.

Adam Park is also the Black Ninja Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Corcus (Alan Palmer) is the Black Alien Ranger in Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers. Took part in the final battle against the United Alliance of Evil.

- Zords: Black Battle Borg, Black Shogunzord (rarely used)
Trey of Triforia and Jason Lee Scott are the Gold Rangers in Power Rangers: Zeo. Trey took part in the final battle against the United Alliance of Evil. Jason is formerly the Red Power Ranger, and later regained the Red Ranger powers in Forever Red.
- While not Black Rangers by name, they are often considered to be Black Rangers due to their costume color being Black. It should be noted that the Gold Ranger's counterpart in Super Sentai, the KingRanger, is officially a Black Ranger.

The Phantom Ranger is a mysterious warrior who aids the Rangers in Power Rangers: Turbo. Took part along with Blue Senturion in the final battle against the United Alliance of Evil.

Carlos Vallertes (Roger Velasco) is the Black Space Ranger in Power Rangers in Space. Carlos is formerly the second Green Turbo Ranger in Power Rangers: Turbo.

Mike Corbett is the Magna Defender in Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy. He is a mysterious warrior who plotted revenge against Scorpius for killing his son Zika. The Magna Defender dies while helping the Rangers but he returns in spirit to give Mike his powers.
- While not a Black Ranger by name, he is often considered a Black Ranger due to his costume color being black. Like the Gold Ranger, the Magna Defender's counterpart in Super Sentai, Black Bull, is officially a Black Ranger.

Dr. Thomas "Tommy" Oliver (Jason David Frank) is the Black Dino Ranger in Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. Tommy is formerly the Green Power Ranger, the White Power/Ninja Ranger, and the Red Zeo and Red Turbo Rangers.

Anubis Cruger is the Shadow Ranger in Power Rangers: S.P.D.. He also served as the mentor for the S.P.D. Power Rangers.
