Billy G. Mills

Billy G. Mills was born April 5, 1929 in Waco, Texas. He was a member of the Los Angeles City Council from 1963 until 1974. The first African-American graduate of UCLA Law School, Mills left the Council after he was appointed a judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Judge Mills suffered a stroke, and retired from the bench in 1989.
The Billy G. Mills Manor Apartments in Los Angeles are named after him.
