The Billings Metropolitan Area is the largest metropolitan area in Montana which is in South Central Montana with an estimated population of 177,385 in 2007. It is the Largest metropolitan area between Denver, Colorado and Calgary, Alberta and between Spokane, Washington and Minneapolis, Minnesota. It also has one of the largest trade, cultural, business and medical areas in the United States in a 500 mile radius; this includes all of Montana, northern Wyoming and the western Dakotas.
