[edit] Plot
Missing her management role from her short-lived position of manager of Sugarfoot's restaurant, Peggy finds substitute teaching unfulfilling and answers a classified advertisement for a pyramid scheme selling health products for Metalife International.
Though her sales are sluggish, Peggy ignores Bill as a customer until he signs for and sells an entire box of product. Bill proves to be an excellent salesman and sells $10,000 worth of product his first month, earning the membership in the $10,000 Double Diamond Club and a lapel pin with two diamonds and a recognition reward at a ceremony in San Antonio.
Peggy compliments Bill's selling ability when he suddenly quits. Hank guesses the reason was Peggy's compliments of him as the reason he quit, owing to his difficult childhood, Army career and unsuccessful marriage, and guesses he likes being treated poorly.
Peggy gets Bill back on board with a list of insults crafted by Bobby. As Hank guessed, as soon as she begins insulting him, Bill begs for a second chance.
When he takes a break complaining of a blister, Peggy continues the insults until he takes off his shoe to find his sock bloodied. Peggy realizes that she has been using Bill, and "fires" him, ending her involvement with Metalife at the same time.
