Bill Leeb

Bill Leeb (1957-) is a electronic musician, born Wilhelm Anton Leeb in Vienna (Austria). He moved to Kitimat, Canada in 1969 with his family when he was 12. He was a student at Mount Elizabeth Secondary School.

Leeb began his career with industrial band Skinny Puppy under the pseudonym Wilhelm Schroeder in 1985, contributing bass synth and occasional backing vocals to a few of their recordings and live shows from his period. He left in mid-1986 and formed his own industrial project Front Line Assembly with Michael Balch, and later Rhys Fulber and Chris Peterson. Though Front Line Assembly has had consistent underground success, Leeb's most widely known efforts are through his side project, Delerium, which had a major hit in the late 1990s with "Silence", featuring Sarah McLachlan.

Bill Leeb lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His ex-wife, Carylann Loeppky, made a lot of the artwork for his records over the years. He has no children. He has recently sold much of the equipment used on early Front Line Assembly albums through Ebay.
