[edit] Editing

This article needs editing. Although I have every reason to believe the number is around $1.00/subscriber, the Big Ten Network president has been quoted as saying, "And they threw out the $1.10 number, which is, by the way, more than any number that we've ever offered to them." I'd say the BTN president is a legitimate source. I have never seen a legitimate source for the $1.10 number. [edit] Great Idea, Horrible Results

When I first heard of the Big Ten Network, I was so excited. I live in Tennessee and have Charter Cable, but I grew up in Ohio (and lived there for 24 1/2 years). It's a great idea, as very few Big Ten games are broadcasted here anyways. But now I have to switch to satellite for one channel? I'm just praying they either start carrying it on Charter next year, or the BTN gets disbanded. Did they somehow forget about their fans? And that I'm pretty sure most people have cable and not satellite? Great idea, horrible results. Cooter285 (talk) 17:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Most people do have cable, but not all places don't get the Big Ten Network. I've never heard of Charter Cable. Is it a pretty small company? I get BTN in my hometown in Ohio, since it first came out. Contact your provider and ask for it. нмŵוτнτ 18:49, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Most people do have cable, many cable companies have the channel up and running and have for a while now. I know that my cable service is Comcast and they don't have it, and I seem to think they never will....We (me, my brother and Dad) are Michigan fans. Were gonna wait until around next August and if they don't have it yet, then we are changing. I am sure that you can call Charter up and tell them that they will lose your business if they don't get BTN, and they will do what they can to get the network. The upshot is that BTN demands basic cable coverage. The cable companies want to put it in a sports tier. Look at http://www.puttingfansfirst.com Steelbeard1 21:00, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

And keep in mind that site is run by Comcast and is horribly biased. Lambertman 21:18, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
The Sports Tier is NFL Network, NBA TV, CSTV and FOX College Sports. I am starting to have a big problem with Comcast! They don't have the NHL Network or BTN. My Dad called Comcast before the network launched and they told him that they would have the BTN, and then they didn't....Now if you call Comcast and complain about not getting it, they tell you that it is available on the Sports-Tier....No its not, I have that. And then they will tell you that they will do their best to get it, and in the mean time you will have to deal with ESPN, FSN and TBS (which doesn't even have games anymore.) No offense to anyone that works for Comcast and I know its not their fault, but they are idiots. Tigersfan1992 21:24, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
