The Benin Premier League is the highest division in football in Benin. The league was delivered in 1969 to the first time. It is composed by 18 club that plays home and away match during 34 rounds from January till August of each year.
The two last places are relegated to Second Division that is composed by 11 teams. The winner of the Premier League earns a place in the CAF Champions League.
