Bengt Johansson

Bengt Johansson (born July 24 1942 in Halmstad, Sweden) is a handball player and coach, playing in the national team 1964-1972, but best known as coach for the Swedish national handball team 1988-2004.
His nickname is Bengan. He is recognizable by his Halmstad dialect. He has invented a special tactic known as Gurkburken, which he pronounces Guekbueken.
During his time as a coach, the Swedish national team (occasionally known as Bengan Boys), won several international championships, including two World Championships (1990 and 1999), and two silver medals at the Olympic Games.
