Ben Frost (born 1980 in Melbourne, Australia) is a musician and composer, whose early collaborations were with fellow Australian artists such as David Bridie and rock band Something for Kate.
Frost's compositions include Music for Sad Children (2001, independently produced and released), the widely acclaimed ambient guitar exploration Steel Wound (2003, Room40), described by Pitchfork Media as "an exemplary ambient experience",[1] and the forthcoming release 'Theory of Machines' on the Icelandic record label Bedroom Community.

In 2005 Frost relocated to and has since become a resident of Reykjavik, Iceland, where he has collaborated with Björk, and (remotely) leads the band School of Emotional Engineering. In 2005 Frost also released the band's self-titled full-length album to critical acclaim, with Db Magazine calling it "An Atmospheric Masterpiece...".[citation needed]

Frost is the closest collaborator of Icelandic Producer/Engineer Valgeir Sigurðsson in Greenhouse Studios Reykjavik Iceland.
Frost is commonly mistaken for fellow Australian artist Ben Frost, as both are of similar age and have collaborated on projects together.
Ben Frost is a member of Cicada, a contemporary arts collective that produces large scale audio visual installations and performances.
