Bearden High School

Bearden High School is a Knox County, Tennessee, high school located in the city of Knoxville.
The school was founded in 1939. It was named for the family of Marcus De LaFayette Bearden, a farmer who served as a captain in the Union Army during the Civil War.[1]
The current building was built in 1967. The principal is Lynn Hill. Bearden High School athletic teams are "the Bulldogs."

- $5,776,600 in scholarship dollars were offered to students of the Class of 2005.
- 47% of Bearden Students are involved in the honors program.

- Approximately 350 students are currently members of the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society.
