[edit] Begun cleanup
I've removed "Preparations for the defense were stymied due to the rivalries of the Roman commanders.", as it didn't seem to fit the context - wouldn't this indicate that the attack would be stymied, not the defence? I know nothing of the subject, I'm just trying to make this read 'more better'. Colonel Tom 23:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
As noted, this article needs references. Also some of what is likely relatively factual (see citation need tag for example) could use rewriting in a more factual way. Not really to clear up bias so much as to present what seem to have been written as presumed facts in a more concrete way.Eoag (talk) 05:33, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
