Barley stripe mosaic virus (BSMV) is a plant pathogenic virus[1] that primarily infects barley in Canada.

BSMV can be transmitted via infected seeds with about a 60% infection rate.

Mottling with yellowish spots or stripes may occur, along with stunted growth and late maturation[2].
