As a player and collector of both banjos and mandolins, I took the name of 'banjolin' for both my performances and my website. I contribute to wikipedia where I think I can expound usefully on subjects concerning traditional music and the family of instruments tuned to GDAE. I play regularly in both English and Irish sessions in East Kent and play for a barn dance band called Watershed. I do own and play a genuine banjolin made by John Grey & Sons of London (well, marketed by them) and the picture used in the wikipedia article is of that very same instrument.
