[edit] Rewrite - Need info on Demography!
I've tried to rewrite this article using the guidelines set out by WP:UKCITIES. Unfortunately the NINIS site is not online at the moment. I think I heard on Newsline a couple of weeks ago that it had been hacked. Hopefully it will be online soon, as obviously the Demography section is a bit lacking! I'm not sure if there is much available information for history - if nothing can be found we can just scrap that header anyway.
To Derry Boi: See my edit summary for my last edit to Ballyronan for the POV concerns ;-)

- Good job. Article certainly looks a lot better after your clean up. Also noticed NINIS was down myself, but I remember from past experience that they didn't have data for Ballyronan anyway, cause it has less than 500 people. But I think you can get info for any settlement if you contact them directly, not sure where you do this though. Derry Boi (talk) 22:03, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

- There seems to be an e-mail address on the NISRA site for queries for information not on the website. I think I'll e-mail NISRA on Monday to ask if they are willing to disclose some of their stats for Ballyronan. I think the Freedom of Information Act should cover such a request. The only problem with using the stats would be the "original research" aspect. I suppose the ref will have to be something like
1. Information provided by NINIS to User:EJF via e-mail under Freedom of Information Act 2000. Information accessed 2008-03-01

But I suppose I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! I've dropped a note on Ardfern's talk page, as he appears to have got pop. stats for small villages like Killinchy in the past. EJF (talk) 23:04, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
